The colors seem to all work together and I like the Native American idea along with the landscapes that you chose to do. I'm not sure if the black outlines work for the images because on one hand they help separate them, but when I first looked at the map I noticed those lines first because they are so bold. Maybe if the shapes were less geometric, or surrounded by white instead?
i like the separation better on this one. however i think the black lines are not working for me either. could you try a dark brown instead so it ties in with the image more? also we need strong definitive edges in this for the grandeur of the parks to stand out.
